Royale croissant bake

The best festive brunch recipe !

This one pan brunch recipe makes for the perfect easy brunch or breakfast since it takes 10 minutes to put together and the result is simply delicious 🔥.

Ingredients

  • 6 small croissants (can use GF)

  • 250g milk

  • 200g single cream

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 tsp mustard

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1tbsp fresh dill, chopped

  • 100g Brie cheese

  • 200g smoked salmon

  • 150g grated mozzarella cheese

Method

  • In a bowl mix the eggs, cream, milk, mustard, garlic powder, dill, salt and whisk until homogenous.

  • Cut the croissants in half and arrange the bottoms on a baking dish. Top croissant bottoms with the 140g of the smoked salmon and the sliced Brie cheese. Cover with the croissant tops and then carefully pour the egg mix on top of the croissants. Finally top with the grated mozzarella.

  • Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180C for 30-35 minutes until the egg is set and the croissants are golden brown. Remove from the oven, decorate with the rest of the salmon and some more dill and enjoy hot!

FAQS and Tips

  • You can use camembert instead of brie and cheddar instead of mozzarella for a stronger cheese flavour

  • For a vegetarian option substitute the salmon with vegan bacon or pan fried mushrooms
