  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley

Method

  • Serve and enjoy while hot!

FAQS and Tips

  • Can I make the pasta ahead of time? This dish is best served fresh, as the harissa creaamy sauce thickens and halloumi can become rubbery when reheated. If needed, reheat gently with a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce.

  • Why add honey to halloumi? Halloumi is naturally salty, so a drizzle of honey balances the flavour with a subtle sweetness. It also enhances the caramelisation when the cheese is pan-fried, making the dish more complex and delicious.

  • What pasta works best with this recipe? Fettuccine, tagliatelle, fusilli lunghi or linguine are ideal because their flat shapes hold onto the creamy Alfredo sauce well. However, any pasta you have on hand will work.

  • Is this recipe vegetarian? Yes, as long as your parmesan is vegetarian (some contain animal rennet). Check the label or use a vegetarian-friendly hard cheese alternative.

  • Can I make this gluten-free? Yes—just use your favourite gluten-free pasta. The sauce and halloumi are naturally gluten-free.
