Pastel de nata toast
Another viral toast !
This pastel the nata toast inspired by the TikTok viral cheesecake toast is definitely a must try! Perfect for an easy breakfast or dessert, it is so easy to make as you only need 1 pot and a handful of ingredients you probably have in your kitchen already

Ingredients
70g white sugar
1 cinnamon stick,
Peel of 1 unwaxed lemon
300g whole milk
12g butter
20g plain flour
1 tsp cornflour
3 egg yolks
2 bread slices
Method
Add the milk milk , cinnamon, lemon peel to a pot and bring it to boil. Remove from the heat and and let it infuse for 30min. Remove peel and cinnamon stick
Add the shifted flours, sugar and mix well with a whisk. Bring the pot back to heat and cook until it thickens to the texture of heavy cream.
Remove from heat and whisk in the butter until it melts. Finally add the egg yolks and mix well until getting a homogenous mix . Pass mix through a strainer to remove any potential clumps.
Using your fingers or the back of a spoon, press into the centre of the bread to indent and create a well without cutting through
Airfry at 175C for 12minutes, the custard should be set and starting to caramelise on the edges when ready.

You can also bake the toasts in the oven at 190C for 15-18min
